Dog walking & dog sitting in Fort Collins
Some dogs need a job in the middle of the day. Others just need someone to let them out, refill the water bowl and tell them they're good. I do both, across Fort Collins, for dogs from eight-week-old puppies to fifteen-year-old labs with stiff hips.
Every walk ends with a photo and a short note: where we went, how she did, whether anything seemed off. You'll know your dog is fine before you've had time to wonder.

Leash handling, honestly
I walk one household at a time. No packs of six dogs from four different homes clipped to one belt — that's how leashes tangle and reactive dogs get overwhelmed.
I'll follow whatever equipment and cues you already use: front-clip harness, martingale, a treat pouch, 'leave it' at the corner. If your dog lunges at skateboards, I'd rather know at the meet-and-greet and plan a quieter route than surprise both of us on Wednesday.
Summer afternoons in Colorado get hot fast. On high-temperature days I shift walks earlier or later, check pavement with the back of my hand, shorten the route and bring water. Winter means checking paws for ice melt and salt on the way back in.
Puppies and senior dogs
- Puppies: frequent short breaks, crate routine respected, accidents cleaned without drama, no new commands that conflict with your training
- Seniors: gentle pace, help on stairs and into the car, joint supplements and pills given on schedule, plenty of stopping to smell things
- Recovering dogs: leash-only bathroom trips, cone management, incision checks, strict activity limits from your vet
- Anxious dogs: slow introductions, no forced handling, quiet company instead of pressure
Where we walk
Neighborhood streets are the everyday default — Old Town, Campus West, Midtown, Harmony, Timberline, Rigden Farm, Fossil Creek, Richards Lake and more. When your dog is up for something bigger and you're comfortable with it, there are good options close to home: the Poudre River Trail, Spring Creek Trail, Lee Martinez Park, Rolland Moore Park and the Fossil Creek Trail.
I don't take client dogs to off-leash dog parks unless you specifically ask for it. Too many unknown dogs, too little control.
Frequently asked questions
Do you walk multiple dogs from the same home?
Yes — siblings walk together if they walk well together. I don't combine dogs from different households.
Can you come at a specific time each day?
I schedule windows rather than exact minutes (say, 11am–1pm) so traffic or a long potty break doesn't make me late for someone else. If your dog needs medication on a tight schedule, tell me and I'll build the day around it.
What if my dog doesn't like strangers?
That's what the meet-and-greet is for. We go slow, on your dog's terms, in his own house. If he never warms up to me, I'll tell you honestly rather than take the booking.
Do you do dog sitting as well as walking?
Yes — drop-in visits, overnight stays in your home, and boarding in mine. Many families combine a mid-day walk on work days with full sitting when they travel.
