Hello, I'm Sarah

A steady hand for the animals you love

I'm Sarah Anderson, a pet care specialist in Fort Collins, Colorado. For more than a decade I've fed, walked, brushed, medicated, mucked, and sat quietly on the floor with animals who needed a friend. Some were bouncy labs, some were barn cats who took three days to come out from under the porch, and a few were goats with opinions.

I believe animals were given to us to care for — that stewardship is a small daily kindness, done well whether or not anyone is watching. That's the standard I keep in your home while you're away: your pets fed on time, your house respected, your plants watered, your mind at ease.

"A righteous person cares for the needs of their animals." — an old proverb I try to live by.

A quiet promise

Care rooted in faith

I believe every animal is a gift worth tending — not perfectly, but patiently, faithfully, and with the kind of love that doesn't need a stage. Whether I'm walking your dog at dawn or filling water tanks after dark, I care for your creatures the way I'd want someone to care for mine: as if they're entrusted to me, because they are.

How booking pet sitting works

Four easy steps from first message to a wagging tail — no apps, no accounts, no booking fees. Fur real.

  1. 1. Reach out

Call, text, or email with your dates and what animals you have. You'll usually hear back the same day with an honest quote.

  2. 2. Meet and greet

We meet at your home in Fort Collins or Loveland so your pets can get my scent and I can learn feeding times, meds, and quirks.

  3. 3. Hand off keys

Key, garage code, or smart lock — whatever feels safest. Nothing is copied or shared, and it comes back the way you ask.

  4. 4. Relax and get photos

Every visit ends with a short update and pictures, so you can see your crew fed, walked, and happy while you travel.

Good To Know

Common questions, fetched and answered

Which areas do you serve?

I sit for pets throughout Fort Collins and Loveland, plus nearby Windsor, Timnath, Wellington, Berthoud, and Laporte. If you're a little farther out in Larimer County, just ask — I'm often happy to make the drive.

How do I check your availability?

Call or text me with the dates you need. I keep a simple calendar and can usually let you know the same day whether I'm free. Holidays and summer weekends fill up first, so it's best to reach out as soon as you know your travel plans.

What do you charge?

Pricing depends on the number of animals, the type of care, and how long you'll be away. A quick drop-in visit for one pet is different from overnight farm chores for a whole barn. Call or text and I'll give you an honest quote the same day. Trips over 5 days get a discount.

How do you get into my home?

Most families leave a key, a garage code, or a smart lock. We'll decide what feels safest and easiest for you, and I'll return the key in the way you request when you get back. I never share your code or make copies without permission.

What happens at the first visit?

Before you leave, I like to do a brief meet-and-greet so your pets can get my scent and I can learn their routine: feeding amounts, hiding spots, medications, leash manners, and anything that spooks them. It's also a chance for us to confirm dates and exchange keys.

Can pets stay at your home?

Yes. Some animals settle better in a quiet house with company all day, so overnight boarding in my home is an option alongside staying in yours.

Will I hear from you while I'm away?

Every visit comes with a short update and photos, so you can see your crew happy and fed before you even think to worry.

Do you give medications?

I do — oral meds, topicals, eye drops, and insulin injections with instructions from you or your vet.

Sarah watched my dog for the past two weeks, and I couldn't be happier. He was even better behaved than when I left. She sent pictures every couple of days so I could see all the fun my pup was having — a lot of peace of mind. She also took great care of my home. 10 out of 10!
